Here at Volunteers in Service at Wernersville State Hospital, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making the world a better place for all.
Our decision-making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high-quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive relationships and make a positive impact with all of our pursuits.
OUR STORY
Wernersville State Hospital’s official auxiliary organization.
VIS is a tax exempt, non-profit organization recognized under section 501 of the IRS.
We are qualified to receive tax deductible bequests and gifts.
Volunteers in Service seeks, as a fundamental goal to provide financial resources and services in order to enhance the quality of lives of the men and women who receive treatment at Wernersville State Hospital. It also seeks to maintain administrative oversight by the Indigent Stipend Program. VIS will continue to endorse quality staff-volunteer relations and to promote a positive image of Wernersville State Hospital and the Volunteer Department. VIS sponsors fundraising events and other programs to supplement the hospital’s endeavors.
